If you have ever seen an Apple iPhone then you have seen that the company is making a big splash in the market place. Apple has already carved a niche out for itself in the world of mobile electronics. They have made themselves into a leading company in the world of computers and mobile phones. Now it looks like they might be setting the record straight on credit cards as well.
A bank credit card for Apple is possible because there are no federal regulations when it comes to giving out these types of cards. It is up to the banks to decide if they want to give out a card to a certain company. Banks are very scared of being taken over by their competition and they may be willing to give out an Apple Card. If banks gave out an Apple Card would you use it?
The truth is that there are more financial institutions than banks right now. If Apple were to make a financial card, there would be so many financial institutions clamoring for a piece of this pie that it would almost be impossible to get any. This is not to say that Apple will not be successful in its efforts to get credit cards, but they would need to start doing a lot more research in order to find out which companies are willing to give out this type of card first. Apple has the resources to get this done but they may need some help from their competition.
Another problem is that Apple has a very tight profit margin. If they give out a credit card to their competitors, they are going to have to make it worth their while for them to give out a card to Apple. They might have to do some serious discounts and offers just to make sure that they get a customer. They can't just give all the customers that Apple wants to the first company they see and give out all of their best discounts or offers.
There is a chance that Apple could make a credit card for themselves. They can do this because there are so many companies in the world today that make money off of credit cards and this kind of card does make some money for them. They can charge higher interest rates and fees and still make some money because the consumer wise and this is how the credit card works.
It will be interesting to see what happens to credit cards for Apple in the future. They have set themselves into a niche market that they already know very well and are making some very good money out of. They have done a lot of research into what consumers are looking for and they have already begun to create some exciting marketing strategies to draw consumers to their cards.
